Biography

As Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions Australia formerly VingCard Elsafe Michael Benikos has been working in the hotel security and technology sector for over 25 years. Prior to his current role Michael has worked with ASSA ABLOY in Service & Project Management, Sales as well as product management working throughout Oceania as well as in Asia while based in Singapore.

Michael has extensive knowledge of hotel locking systems, room management/energy management systems as well as self check in systems such as mobile key and check in kiosks. Over the last few years Michael has been directly involved in working with hotel groups and hotels in general to upgrade their hotels for self check in technology as well as the use of IOT devices to monitor and control systems such as electronic locks, air conditioning and lighting within the hotel.  

Michael has seen a lot of changes in technology in the hotel sector during his time and has extensive knowledge of how hotels can use technology to increase security, improve guest experience and also improve operational efficiency.
