Event Postponement

12 March, 2020

NoVacancy and Hospitality Design Fair Postponed to 24-25 September, 2020

The spread of Coronavirus and its impact on our community has been top of mind. In particular, the last week has seen increasing travel and event participation restrictions being put on many of our exhibitors, visitors and speakers.

With this in mind, we have decided to postpone NoVacancy and Hospitality Design Fair to September 24-25. With the exception of a date change, everything else remains the same.

This isn’t a decision that was made lightly, but when we can’t guarantee the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff, it’s the right decision to make.

Following recent natural disasters in Australia and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 virus on the accommodation industry, there’s never been a more important time for togetherness and solidarity. We are all in this situation together – let’s continue to support each other.

While the event is not going to be as soon as originally planned, we are overwhelmed by the support of our key partners and the hundreds of visitors and exhibitors we’ve managed to connect with so far.

We make the commitment to spend the additional months increasing the value of the event for everyone involved and to deliver a bigger and better event in September.

In the meantime, please bear with us: We’re doing our very best to adjust our planning and expect to be on top of things as quick as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Why has National Media decided to postpone NoVacancy?
The 2020 edition of NoVacancy has been postponed to 24-25 September, 2020.  As a result of increasing concerns and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 / Coronavirus, and with the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff our top priority, this was deemed the appropriate decision at the time. With many of our exhibitors and visitors facing travel and event restrictions we decided it best to make the decision now, rather than closer to the event with more ramifications for all involved.
