Rachel is a creative chameleon. Whilst no two projects share stylistic similarities, each emotive layers ideas to tell ambient stories on multiple subliminal levels. What aligns with Rachel’s oeuvre is her unflinching focus on conceptual integration with an ever-practical commitment to comfort and functionality. Notable projects include the multi-award-winning Sydney harbour-side landmark, Bathers’ Pavilion; Hotel Centennial, Saké Manly and the Manly Pacific Hotel lobby bar; plus Melbourne’s new look Rydges Hotel and the wildly upbeat Ovolo South Yarra hotel. As a highly respected innovator in the Australian interior design community, Rachel regularly sits on advisory panels, judges awards and speaks at industry events. Committed to nurturing new local talent, she has lectured at both The University of NSW and The University of Technology Sydney, mentoring countless young designers along the way.
